New Jersey EMT Exams

New Jersey has now shifted the NREMT exam. Sign up with the National Registry to find an exam center near you to take this test.

New Jersey does not offer AEMT licenses.

New Jersey Paramedic Exams

New Jersey Paramedics must complete the National Registry cognitive exam as well as a practical exam. Your program will give you instructions on signing up for these two exams.

Requirements for New Jersey EMS Certification

EMR - Emergency Medical Responder

New Jersey does not offer EMR licenses.

EMT - Emergency Medical Technician

EMTs in New Jersey must graduate from a state-approved program. The student will have to pass the National Registry after completion and apply for their initial license.

EMT-P - Paramedic
