Missouri EMR Exams

To become an EMR you must successfully pass the National Registry cognitive and psychomotor exam. Sign up to take the NREMT exam by creating an account on the NREMT webpage and afterward, you are able to schedule your exam.

Requirements for Missouri EMS Certification

EMR - Emergency Medical Responder

To obtain an initial EMR license in Missouri, all levels of EMT must provide proof of current certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, pass a background check, and complete the Missouri EMS personnel license application.

EMT - Emergency Medical Technician

To obtain an initial EMT license in Missouri, all levels of EMT must provide proof of current certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, pass a background check, Show proof of BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate, and complete the Missouri EMS personnel license application.

AEMT - Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

To obtain an initial AEMT license in Missouri, all levels of EMT must provide proof of current certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, pass a background check, Show proof of BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate, and complete the Missouri EMS personnel license application.
