Mississippi EMR Exams

Mississippi accepts the NREMT (National Registry) Exam as proof that the EMT candidate has the appropriate levels of knowledge with regard to emergency medicine. Information on National Registry Emergency Medical Services Personnel testing, applications, processes for testing, and test dates are available on the NREMT website.

Requirements for Mississippi EMS Certification

EMR - Emergency Medical Responder

To become an EMR in the state of Mississippi you must: Be 18 years old, Complete an application for Mississippi EMS Certification form; Provide a copy of NREMT Certification, Provide the original, signed Jurisdictional Medical Control Agreement; Reciprocity agreement from home state, if applicable; and pay the required fee(s).

EMT - Emergency Medical Technician
