Before scheduling an examination appointment, you must have already: Registered and received an Authorization to Test letter; been notified of your eligibility to sit for the examination; and paid an examination authorization fee to NREMT. Requirements for Kansas EMS Certification

EMR - Emergency Medical Responder

To become an EMR in Kansas you must be: 18 years of age; and a High school graduate or GED. You must successfully complete an EMR course, and pass the NREMT exam. Then, apply online for initial Kansas EMS licenses. Contact the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services to set up your online license portal.
